A Special Day

The heat and humidity had been oppressing these days, so much so that I doubted one could survive decently through a day without a cooler of some sort. Then today, for the first time in days, it rained!! At 2.30pm in the afternoon, it was actually as dark as it would normally be at 7.30pm in the evening. Not that I mind of course!! Especially since it was one of the most welcomed changes anyone could unanimously wish for [at least in this part of the world]. In any case, because of the sweltering weather before [and probably after] today, Mom dictated that we should have porridge everyday for lunch... no more 'heaty' food, she said. Ahh.. might as well. It fitted in with my current no oil, no fats diet [at this point, zaki would most likely proceed to point to the water bottle on the table].

Today being such a special raining day, I also had dinner at Moonfish, a pasta and seafood restaurant tucked away in the [fake] Times Square at Millenia Walk. Maybe I was lucky; I caught the restaurant at a non-rush hour when the number of staff probably outnumbered its diners. The servers were most attentive.. to the extent that it felt almost like the service was personalized. Not bad at all. And pasta was... *yum* .. scrumptious. Or maybe that was so coz I had been so starved and greedy and biased after all the porridge chows.

I also decided to make the day more special by getting both the Amelie and A La Folie dvds. Yes, I do appreciate French shows,... coz I am such a cultured girl. [And you don't know!] But no, I am not allowed to watch them coz my papers are due and I haven't been muggin like a cow at all. And yes, I SHALL START ON THEM NOW COZ I AM FEELING SO GUILTY JUST WRITING THIS.
