Forty-Eight Hours Later
Three deaths so far- one more still missing.


The collapse occurred at approximately 3.30pm, 04/20, during excavation works for the Nicoll Highway MRT station, part of the MRT's Circle Line.


First casualty recovered from the debris - a Malaysian, crane operator. He was the third sibling lost in the family within a space of three years.

Second body found at 11.42pm, 04/21 - that of a China national. He had only been in Singapore for ten days.

Daughter Catherine Tan twice sent this SMS to her father's mobile phone: 'Dad, please come home. Where are you? I love you. Mum, brother and me are waiting for you right now. Come back. We miss you.'
This morning his body was found. He had been working at the LTA for more than 2 decades.
