# PIRATE OF COLLEGEWOOD
Dr P. gave the same verdict, with more explanations of the situation. He helped call Dr Brown, the eye specialist from Jacksonville. The op would cost almost 15 times the emergency consultation fee (alone).
Dr P. offered us an alternative, a simpler and cheaper one to the op. But chances of recovery were most uncertain.
"What is the worst case scenerio?" Daddy asked.
Dr P: "The ulcer (which had grown twice in size since Fri) will gnaw deeper into the cornea, eating away the eyeball. Soon the eyeball will collapse and have to be removed."
I looked at the furball sniffing the cold clinical table, almost oblivious to the ticking timebomb in its injured eye. Just 12 weeks old and going to be blind for the rest of its life?
