:Nemo-tic crush::

My first show on the big screen since I touched down: Finding Nemo.

Another successful Pixar animation film, as so evident by its share prices rallies. Back home, both adults and kids were so endeared to the ocean creatures that the Nemo merchandise almost joined the hall of fame for flying off the shelves before they warmed up their seats on the shelves. There was even a feature article in the national papers on thru-the-roof sales of clown fishes in pet stores and aquariums. Shrewd businessmen were naming their clown fishes “Nemo-s”, while most (spoiled) kids successfully persuaded their parents in getting a couple of cold-blooded swimming pets to match their short lived enthusiasm.

Though I hadn't been excited by the advertisements and movie trailers prior to and during their airtimes, its resounding commercial success inevitably raised my expectations of it. Since the ticket to the show was only a dollar fifty cents here, I had no problem deciding which show to catch.

It was a good one, entertaining with injection of some good ‘ol values of kinship, friendship and trust etc and a happy ending. Though it didn’t exactly aced my high expectations, I was, nevertheless, glad I caught it. Somehow I’d the sneaky feeling that I would probably go a little goo-goo over some Nemo stuff like the rest if I’d caught it back then. Lol.
