:Efficient break. An oxymoron?::

Everyone's very busy. When S'poreans go for holiday, they want to visit the maximium no. of places in the shortest span of time. That's called productivity. No time to lay at the beach and bake in the ultraviolet rays, or to slump in a cheap local cafe, sip a cuppa cappuccino or ice mocha and try their darnest not to think of the shit of a workload they leave behind.

Nah, that would be a waste of the hourglass time. The sands are slipping through, buddy. Wanna know the culture of the locals? Just type the key words in google and voilĂ , there you have it.

Like the Visit Hongkong adverts, there's endless shopping, eating, shopping, eating, shopping, eating, spa treatment, then resuming of shopping, eating... to do. Besides the contrived sales which give discounts for jacked up prices of goods, the souvenirs and gifts will be testaments to the fact that you have been to this country (ies). Sightseeing is, of course, done while shopping and eating.

'Been there, done that'.
